Here, There, Everywhere: Navigating Long-Distance Relationships (AKA Surviving The Relationship Apocalypse)
Long-distance relationships can be difficult to manage, but they don’t have to be impossible! Join Dirty Lola as she discusses ways to create sustainable long-distance relationships with multiple partners. Learn how to stay connected, set realistic expectations, and manage conflict from a distance.
Am I Doing This Right?: Navigating Communication and Relational Trauma in Ethical Non-Monogamy
Are you intellectually on board with non-monogamy but struggling to get your body and heart on the same page? Does the phrase "I want this but I feel like I'm going to die" (from Clementine Morrigan's zine Love Without Emergency) resonate with you? This is a class for the folks who really want to practice ethical non-monogamy, but are struggling with the practical application of it.
The More, the Merrier: A Road Map to Ethical Non-Monogamy
The biggest roadblock to exploring ethical non-monogamy is FEAR. Whatever YOUR fear, Andre Shakti wants to help you acknowledge it, then eradicate it. This workshop is geared towards those who are in the initial stages of considering stepping outside of a monogamous framework. Bring your concerns, your compassion, and most importantly, your CURIOSITY!
Making Open Relationships Work
How do people create nontraditional partnerships that are loving and satisfying? In this class, Tristan Taormino will share some of the key principles that can help your open relationship(s) succeed. She'll discuss common issues and problems — from "new relationship energy" and time management to jealousy, power dynamics, and agreement violations — and ways to address and work toward resolving them.
Is There a Secret Handshake?: Navigating Alternative Lifestyles
Many people are drawn to alternative lifestyles such as BDSM, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), polyamory, and swinging because they are seeking to explore a different side of themselves. In this session, Dirty Lola will share ways to find your place within the alternative community that mesh with your needs and desires.
(Anti) Racism & Ethical Non-Monogamy: Not Just WPS (White People Sh*t)
Those of us who are both non-monogamous and non-white often play double duty as ambassadors for non-monogamy in our personal communities and ambassadors for BIPOC people in non-monogamous ones. This workshop with Sexology Bae is an opportunity to educate across communities, because clear language and definitions help reduce stigma.
Polyamory: Moving Beyond Compulsory Monogamy
Where do your relationship expectations come from? In this class with Michelle Hy, we'll touch on different implicit norms and systems of oppression that affect how we approach and move through our interpersonal lives, then dismantle the ways compulsory monogamy affects your connections.
