This class will be held LIVE online via Zoom — Zoom links are sent out 3 days prior and then again 3 hours prior to start time. The class will be recorded and available for a limited time shortly following the class. Registration deadline: 3 hours prior to class PST. No day-of cancellations.
Where do babies come from? When will I start my period? What’s sexting? Kids’ questions about sexuality can be tricky! In this workshop, you’ll learn a framework for thinking about sexuality more broadly, what kids need to know at each age and stage, and a tried-and-true process for answering even the toughest questions with ease and confidence.
You’ll also hear the exact language an experienced sex educator uses to talk with kids about common topics, have an opportunity to connect with other caregivers, ask your most burning questions, and take home a curated resource list to help you tackle the talks beyond the workshop.
The goal is for you to leave feeling more comfortable and effective talking with the littles in your life about sexuality. This workshop is for anyone who lives or works with kids ages 4+.
Rebecca Koon has been teaching frank, feminist sex ed to kids and the grown-ups who love them since 2006. She did her graduate work in gender studies and brings an intersectional approach to all of her work. Currently, Rebecca is studying to be a school counselor and mental health therapist specializing in sexual and gender minority youth and their families.
