Although Hollywood might have us believe that only people of certain body types can have sensual, satisfying sex lives, sexy comes in all shapes and sizes! If you’re a fabulous fat babe who wants to build a better relationship with your body and sexuality or someone who enjoys having sex with the curviest among us, this workshop is for you and anyone else who wants to become more body-positive and fat-positive in their approach to sex/sexuality.
This workshop will give you tools to start developing a fat-positive mindset both in and out of the bedroom. We’ll work together to tear down myths around sex that confine sensuality to smaller bodies, discuss strategies for cultivating a fat positive relationship with your body and the bodies of others, and talk through in-the-moment tactics for navigating the uniqueness of fat bodies in sexual interactions. You’ll also walk away from this workshop with a list of products, equipment, and positions for enhancing fat sex. The goal of this workshop is to change the conversation around fat sex and embrace a diversity of bodies in all their fabulous fleshiness.
Hailey Otis is a scholar, activist, and speaker whose work focuses on fat positivity and representations of fat bodies within the body positive movement. She has a Master’s degree in Communication from Colorado State University and grounds her work in intersectional feminism, sex positivity, and radical fat liberation. Hailey — a self-identified “fatty” herself — is committed to liberating fat folks from the shackles of shame, stigma, and diet culture by cultivating spaces for fat positivity.
We’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested. Two people will be chosen randomly and contacted at least 2 weeks prior to class to confirm.
