Juneteenth Pre-Party Community Night (FREE in-person event)

June 13, 2023 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm PDT

Free
Juneteenth Pre-Party!

This event will be held in person at our N. Mississippi location. Masks optional.

Come celebrate community and sex positivity with us at our Juneteenth pre-party! This is a FREE, private event by and for Black folks!

We will have refreshing drinks, games, and gifts to take home! She Bop’s Jae Evans and Ayanna will be your hosts while you mingle, ask questions, and enter to win some vibrators and goodies in our free raffle. Attendees must be 18 years old or older. Come for the community, leave with a full heart and some treats for the bedroom and beyond!

Jae Evans is She Bop’s General Manager and the newest member of Team Bop. Jae is a Black and Queer Portland native! After many years of seeing Portland’s gentrification rattle the city and displace communities, she is ecstatic to join in on this community night and celebrate Juneteenth with all things kinky, sexy, and BLACK!

Ayanna feels most liberated when advocating for her community and their rights to exist in this world unapologetically. Born and raised in Portland, she’s seen the lack of safe sex-positive spaces for Black residents. Sex can be taboo in the Black community, and she wants to break that mold. In her free time she loves making music, cooking, and belting Amy Winehouse at karaoke.

Community Nights are after-hours appreciation parties for our diverse communities — filled with good company, private shopping (with special discounts), games, and prizes. Every month or so, our staff members will host a different free in-person Community Night at our North Portland She Bop location (909 N. Beech Street Suite A). Masks are encouraged but optional — we will have a capacity limit and HEPA filters running. If you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home and join us another time.

We partner with Bloom Community, a queer + sex-positive social and dating app! Follow She Bop on Bloom to see our upcoming events and connect with the community.
