Navigating Sex and Depression: An Evening with JoEllen Notte, author of The Monster Under the Bed: Sex, Depression, and the Conversations We Aren’t Having

Sunday, March 29th — 7:30 p.m. — FREE (with option to pre-order The Monster Under the Bed at 10% off)

JoEllen Notte

Almost everyone has had some interaction with depression. Whether it’s you, a family member, a friend, or a partner who is affected, depression has the potential to touch us all. Even so, many of us are unprepared for the ways in which depression and its treatment can impact our sex lives and it can quickly become the monster under the bed.

In her new book The Monster Under the Bed: Sex, Depression, and the Conversations We Aren’t Having, JoEllen Notte explores how sexual function is affected by depression and what keeps us from effectively addressing it. Heavily informed by the author’s research and featuring practical tips and real-life examples, this guidebook for people with depression and those who love them is the first book of its kind. Join JoEllen for a book reading and a discussion that will address sexual symptoms and side effects, explore strategies for navigating them, and include a Q & A with the author.

Choose from two RSVP options:

  • RSVP only (free)
  • RSVP and purchase The Monster Under the Bed: Sex, Depression, and the Conversations We Aren’t Having at a 10% discount ($18), to be picked up in-store the night of the event*

Books will also be available at a special discounted price the night of the event.
