Sex Educator Night School: Crafting Classes

New workshop series alert! Sex Educator Night School is for sex educators, coaches, and sex positive content/event producers (from inexperienced to advanced) who want to elevate their teaching and marketing skills. Whether you’re hoping to turn sex ed into a full-time career or just dabble in teaching workshops or running events, Amory Jane will share what she’s learned in her decade as a Sex Educator, Sex-Positive Event Producer, podcast host, and Education Coordinator at She Bop.

Are you a budding sex educator who has always wanted to lead a class or discussion, but don’t know how to find people to attend or venues to host? Already in the field, but wanting to expand your reach or improve your skills? If you’re ready to invest in your future and your community, come join Amory Jane for Sex Educator Night School!

In this workshop, we will focus on developing and structuring workshops. Bring your ideas and goals, even if they’re still in the early stages! We’ll learn the art of teaching and public speaking, and how organizing can take our classes and events to the next level. You’ll also get advice on how and where to pitch your workshops when they’re ready to be presented, and will even get a chance to teach a mini lesson on the topic of your choice (in small groups).

Amory Jane & She Bop recognize sex education is field that has been historically filled with white, cisgender, able-bodied educators. To help expand the field and have more voices heard, we are making this a sliding scale workshop for those who cannot pay the full price of $50 per class. We are also offering 2 full scholarships for folks from underrepresented backgrounds. POC, disabled, trans, and non-binary attendees are especially encouraged to apply/attend!
