Pleasure doesn’t have to end with an STI diagnosis! Living with an incurable STI can be difficult, but it can shift our lives in positive ways. Whether your diagnosis is recent or not, this workshop is for folks who are living with one of the main types of incurable STIs (Herpes, HPV, HIV), and will be part workshop and part peer support space. Tiffany Lashai Curtis will cover topics like disclosure & communication, sexual safe care, advocating for yourself during STI testing, and ways to engage in nonsexual intimacy and sexual intimacy that decenters the genitals. This is a presentation style workshop and participants will be encouraged to participate throughout, especially during the discussion portion.
You’ll leave the class feeling affirmed in your right to pleasure as an STI+ person, gain some tools to begin tackling internalized stigma/shame, and some tips for navigating dating!
Tiffany Lashai Curtis is a Black, queer, sex educator, wellness advocate, award-winning writer, and full spectrum doula-in-training, with over five years of experience in the sexual health and wellness space.
