Sex for Survivors: Healing After Trauma with Ducky DooLittle

Ducky DooLittleThursday, October 10th — 5:00 p.m. — sliding scale, suggested price $20 — Q Center (3 blocks north of She Bop at 4115 N. Mississippi)

Finding it difficult to be present during sex? Tuning out? This is a very common survival technique for anyone who has survived domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, and other forms of abuse and trauma. Join Ducky Doolittle, herself a survivor and a Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Counselor, as we explore ways of growing beyond the trauma.

You are invited to discuss common issues survivors face — or simply listen to inspiring ideas on how you might find more pleasure, become more conscious in your body, build confidence, bond with your partner, embrace your desires, and explore healing through touch in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

The Q Center has generously donated their space for this special event.

Ducky DooLittle is a sex educator and author from New York City. She is the author of Sex With the Lights On. She has appeared in the New York Times, HBO’s Real Sex, The Morning Show, MTV, NPR, The Howard Stern Show, and Playboy TV, to name a few.
