CineKink PDX: one night only!

Krutch

CineKink, “the kinky film festival,” is returning to Portland for a one-night-only screening of some of their best films — and we’re sponsors!

The night is Sunday, August 4th, at the Clinton Street Theater. The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. with a screening of “Best of CineKink 2013,” a selection of award-winning shorts deemed the best during CineKink’s festival run.

This year’s collection runs the gamut of genres and sexual proclivities, with documentary, comedy, experimental, and dramatic shorts. Standouts include “Krutch,” an exploration of one woman’s daily life and private relief, “Zucht Und Ordnung,” a German documentary featuring a rambunctious elderly gay couple, and “Pinecone,” a hilarious piece that will be especially enjoyable to Oregonians.

Then, at 9 p.m., writer/director Cheyenne Picardo will be in attendance for the Portland premiere of “Remedy,” winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature at CineKink 2013. This movie-length psychological drama follows a woman into the dungeons of New York City, where she delves into professional domination and submission… and discovers her own physical and emotional limits. Here’s the trailer:

Admission is $8 door/$6 advance per screening, $12 door/$10 advance for both; 18 and over only. Purchase tickets online, and RSVP on Facebook.
