Great Sex During Pregnancy, Postpartum, & Early Parenthood

Thursday, September 5th — 7:30 p.m. — $15

Are you a new parent puzzled by how and when to fit sex into your busy life? Expecting and wanting to know how to have great sex during pregnancy and/or postpartum? This workshop by educators Amory Jane and Jessie Fresh takes a fun, thoughtful, and realistic approach to staying physically intimate and emotionally connected through pregnancy, postpartum, and the first couple years of parenthood.

Amory Jane and Jessie Fresh will challenge traditional ideas about sex and kink for pregnant and postpartum bodies, go over positions that work well during all three trimesters, and share advice on how to have great sex through hormone changes, exhaustion, and new identities. We’ll also focus on postpartum healing, what to expect or prepare for after you or your partner have given birth, and how to communicate through so many major transitions. We’ll also answer any questions you may have, such as how to date each other again after becoming parents, where to have sex if you’re co-sleeping, and much much more!

AJ and Jessie hope to create an inclusive class for all kinds of people who may be going through major life, relationship, and body changes due to pregnancy hormones or becoming parents. This includes queer parents, people who are parents after adopting, sex after surrogacy or pregnancy loss, and “non-traditional” parents who may or may not be genetically related to offspring they are helping to raise.

Amory Jane is veteran sex educator and mother of a toddler, with a background in Couples & Family Therapy. Jessie Fresh is a licensed Erotic Coach who has over 13 years of experience in early childhood development, and who engineered a way to thrive in her sex life during postpartum. They are both passionate about supporting parents to have more love, connection, and joy in their lives.

Authentic Kink with Princess Kali

Wednesday, August 21st — 7:30 p.m. — $25

Kinksters often have to depend on erotica and porn to learn what kink looks and feels like, but unfortunately that can create a lot of myths, misunderstandings and accidental mistakes. BDSM is so focused on activity, but just because you’re going through the motions doesn’t mean you’ll have a happy, healthy experience. It can take years (and plenty of bad scenes) to help you learn exactly what you enjoy and why. But it doesn’t have to if you spend time reflecting on your needs and limits ahead of time.

In this class Princess Kali will use storytelling and engaging discussion to teach you how to have the most authentic and fulfilling kink experience possible. Over the last 17 years in the kink scene, Kali has developed a straightforward method for discovering your most authentic kinky self.

You’ll learn:

  • How to dig deeper into your own desires to help you understand articulate them more clearly
  • The difference between style and role and how to use both to your advantage
  • A brand new approach to negotiation that’s proven to create more successful scenes
  • How to break free from any unconscious stereotypes or myths holding you back from fully exploring kink
  • And more!

Mapping the Vulva: Licking, Touching, Teasing, & Talking

Wednesday, August 14th — 7:30 p.m. — $25

Stella HarrisThere is so much confusion surrounding vulvas that it’s become a pop-culture joke. Unfortunately, the joke is on us. With vulvas being a place of mystery (and worse, a source of shame), our ability to receive pleasure from this area of the body can be extremely diminished. This class will dispel misinformation and teach you all about the vulva — from anatomy to styles of touch. In addition to the external genitalia, we’ll also discuss the vagina, the G-spot, and the underlying anatomical structures.

With a focus on intimacy and connection, this class will cover styles of communication that will set both the giver and the receiver of touch at ease and give you tools to communicate your desires. There is a whole world of pleasure available if giver and receiver are willing to learn how to relax, open up, to touch and receive touch.

Using visual aids, sex toys, and vulva models, we’ll discuss everything from hand sex to oral sex as well as the use of toys — and ways to combine all three.

Stella Harris is an author, educator, and coach who focuses on intimacy and connection. As a certified Intimacy Educator, she uses a variety of tools to guide and empower her clients and she teaches everything from pleasure anatomy, to communication skills, to kink and BDSM. She has presented classes for a variety of organizations including the Portland Leather Alliance, the Portland Academy of Sex Ed, Sex Positive Portland, and more, and has spoken at Portland State University, Reed College, and Pacific University. Stella is widely published in print and online, from erotic fiction to educational and lifestyle pieces on sex and kink.

Stella hopes to build a world where everyone has the tools and confidence to explore their sexuality safely and free of shame.
